it is not always an easy thing
to admit to ourselves how we feel
why we still want what isn’t good for us
why we still laugh and cry at the same damn things
every time

why our souls are moved by this thing but not that one
why some things never fail to be moving
and how lovely and human and divine that is

no, it is not always an easy thing
to make peace with who we are
what we want
despite all odds
with all our flaws
our guilty obsessions
and vain pleasures
our selfishness
our similarities

but I tell you this
if there’s one thing I know for sure
it’s that we’re all not so different
and living is not so easy
and Love is everything
