Webster’s word of the day is chapfallen,
meaning “depressed, or cast down in spirit”
Well bud I haven’t felt chapfallen in a minute and that’s pretty frickin sweet, I’ll gladly admit it.
I’m not saying I don’t get sad anymore,
rather that sadness isn’t a constant.
Life’s not about being happy all the time… that would be a bit exhausting.
Of course there are times, here and there,
where I don’t feel my best, but they’re hardly the norm, and that didn’t happen by chance.
Instead it’s a product of the work I’ve put in, the time that I’ve spent, and the love I’ve been given in this colony of ants.
