Keep them coming
I’ll admit—this was written at a time when I was not doing very well. Constant daily news of new horrors filled my timeline and my thoughts, and I didn’t want to look away. I didn’t have much else to occupy my life back then.
It’s not that the pain has grown smaller. It’s just that now, I’m doing something about it; I’ve made room within myself to carry it, and to carry on. Volunteering and organizing for Falasteen is one of the great honors of my life. The friends I have made are beautiful souls who long for life, love, and happiness—just like anyone else. It is an honor to fight for them and with them.
